This Friday and Saturday night Iota is hosting a concert to benefit the Red Cross Hurricane Relief effort. The $10 suggested donations goes towards people affected by the recent Hurricane Irma. If you can't make the show, you can donate online directly. Since Iota will be closing for good at the end of the month, this may be one of their last charity benefit shows. On the playlist tonight starting 8pm will be:
Plantface
David Kitchen
Wowee
PBC Vocal Band
Geff King
Chris Aaron

Pics from Iota Red Cross show
Iota hosted a great night of live music last Saturday night with proceeds going towards Red Cross' diaster relief fund. There was such a wonderful diversity with different styles of music, but my favorite was the multitracking and great vocals of Margot MacDonald.

More Alabama fundraisers at Rock Bottom
I missed last night's Red Cross fundraiser at the Frontpage in Ballston, but tonight I get a second chance at Rock Bottom. As if you needed an excuse to go out on Cinco de Mayo, Rock Bottom is hosting the event to raise money for tornado victims. Friday night the fundraiser will be at the Mad Hatter in DC.
Most of the local rooftops are sure to be packed tonight due to the perfect spring weather. Whitlow's new roof deck already has a line streching around the block, and Mexicali Blues and Rio Grande are also packed.
