5x5 Showcase at Galaxy Hut

The 5x5 Songwriter Showcase presents the first of five live events which will be recording both audio and video for streaming/televised broadcast. This kick-off event will feature the hosts and producers of The 5x5, Daniel Warren Hill, Eli Lev, Ginny Hill, Gabrielle Zwi, and Justin Shapiro. These artists will host the next set of The 5x5 events featuring an entirely different and unique set of songwriters throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

The debut show on Sunday April 14 features performances by 5 founding members:

Alchemy Extravaganza at Iota Sunday

Tonight, Sunday January 26, Iota is throwing the first ever Alchemy Extravaganza starting 7pm. This adult 21+ variety show will feature everything you can imagine, and the $15 cover includes:

• Music by YellowTieGuy, Joe Rathbone & The Mercy Alliance, Spencer Joyce, and Johari
• Comedians Andrew Bucket and Jamel Johnson
• Poetry by Hundred Dollar Bill
• Burlesque dancing by Aurora Wells

Live Music in Clarendon April 12

A summary of the live music offerings in the area tonight:

Iota local music night with Margot MacDonald, Star FK Radium, The Charm Offensive, James Ian, Yellowtieguy ,South Rail, and The Dreamscapes Project. $10 cover total.

Local band Crash Bang Boom playing at the Leukemia & Lymphoma fundraiser at Artisphere. Tickets are $85.

Free music at Arlington Cinema Drafthouse by Mike Mallick at 7:30pm followed by three stand up comedians (also free) at 10pm.

3AM (used to be call Full Effect) playing at Clarendon Grill. Cover of $5 or $10.

DJ Lil Fos at Clarendon Ballroom, $5 after 10pm.

Element K at RiRa, $5 for men and ladies are free.

The Monster Band plays at Whitlows, $5 cover after 10pm.
