Crash Bang Boom at 9:30 Club Sat

Local muscians Crash Boom Bang are playing at the 9:30 Club in DC Saturday Feb 9 evening. I first saw CBB play at a random event in Tysons 3 years ago and were impressed with their light rock / pop quartet sound. I'm happy they are doing well and are now head lining at one of DC's best music venues.

Luke's Wings Benifit @ Iota

Tonight come by Iota at 7pm to for some great music and to raise money for Luke's Wings, a organization dedicated to the support of service members who have been wounded in battle.

Headlining at the benefit is pop/rock/soul five member band Tim Be Told. Also playing is Crash Bang Boom, who I was surprised to see play at the Gap at Tyson's Corner. David Zaidain will also be on stage tonight.

On Tap Magazine at Clarendon Grill this Saturday

This Saturday at Clarendon Grill the local magazine On Tap is having a CD Release Party to celebrate On the Verge-Volume IV, an annual CD featuring local bands. The evening will toast to another year and another CD full of talented area artists who are "on the verge."

11 artists are in the lineup including The Cheaters, Crash Boom Bang, Hotspur, and one of my favorites Rome In A Day! No cover before 10 p.m.

Now if I could only convince On Tap to add an RSS feed to their site...

Crash Boom Bang @ The Gap

I stumbled upon an unexpected live music performance in Tyson's Corner tonight as Crash Boom Bang was playing at The Gap!

I was very surprised at the concert in a commercial shopping space, but it was successful in drawing in a moderate sized crowd into the store. Crash Boom Bang is a local light rock / pop quartet that reminded me of a combination of the Killers and the Jonas Brothers.
