Westover Flooding Benefit Concert at Whitlows

The Westover Beer Garden and the other Westover business were heavily damaged in the freak July 8 flooding and Whitlows is hosting Westover Merchants Flash Flood Benefit Concert to help them out. On Sunday August 4 from 5 to 9pm a ton of local musical talents will be on stage. $20 donation at the door and all proceeds going to the gofundme campaign created to benefit the local businesses affected. The money raised will primarily be for Ayers and the Beer Garden and allocated according to need. So far, the donations have reached over $77,000 of their $100,000 goal!

For The Win at Whitlows

Local cover band For The Win DC plays at Whitlow's this Friday, May 24. Show starts at 10pm and there is no cover at the door. This popular party band has played wide variety of Top 40, Pop, Rock and HipHop in Clarendon many times since 2014. For The Win is composed of singers Ryan Angelo and Cat Stratakis, backed by Matt Greene on guitar, John Daise on bass and Bill Ledbetter playing drums. Rounding out the group is Joe Maier on keyboard.

Arlington Cornhole Late Summer League

Arlington Cornhole is having their league playoffs at Mister Days starting 7pm this Tuesday, July 17. ACH started two years ago with a group of friends and has grown into a league of 80 people. Their seasons are 8 weeks long and played at local Clarendon bars, with proceeds being donated to charity. They have raised over $6,000 for charities including the Wounded Warrior Project, Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Baldrick's Foundation, The Carpenter's Shelter, Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, The Lyon Village Community House, The Arlington Housing Corporation, The Hurricane Maria Relief Fund, and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.

If you want to join the fun, Arlington Cornhole's late summer registration is now open. Their season will run from August 7th through September 25th and will be played at Mister Day's and Whitlows. Food and drink specials are available along with all registration money going towards the winning team's charity of choice. $40 to enter and you get a t-shirt.

Whitlows 106.7 Summer Dress Party

The annual Junkies Summer Dress Party is this Saturday June 14 at Whitlow's rooftop. Hosted by 106.7 The Fan radio station, the sunny day party starts at 4pm and features Junkies radio personalities JP, Cakes, Bish and EB. This free event lasts until 7pm with full details on Facebook.

JMU Football watch party at Whitlows

Whitlows is hosting a JMU football watch party Saturday January 5 stating at noon to cheer for the Dukes as they play against North Dakota State University. The National Championship game will be on the screens throughout the restaurant along with drink specials and brunch.

Party Like It's at Whitlows

One of the most energetic and cover bands of all time Party Like It's... is returning to Whitlows this Friday January 5.  Music starts at 9pm and there is usually a $5 cover.

Clarendon NYE parties with a cover

Continuing with Clarendon New Year's Eve parties, here is a list of venues where you will need to purchase a ticket ahead of time or pay cover at the door. See the previous post for free NYE events.

Whitlows party starts at 8pm and features music by Back To Zero. $34 ticket includes buffet, party favors and champagne toast.

Clarendon Ballroom will have Liquid A on stage and DJ Hurley providing music in the downstairs lounge. Tickets are about $100 and include full dinner buffet, 4 drink tickets, and champagne.  Cocktail attire required. Bring cash. Ballroom also offers a $2 coat check for the frigid NYE night.

Clarendon Grill will host live music by Turtle Recall for $55 currently, going up to $65 soon. Party starts at 8pm and includes 3 drinks, food buffet and champagne toast.

Mister Days general admission tickets are up to $45 per person now, and will go up to $55. That includes 3 drink tickets, a VIP entrance and you have to be in the door before 11pm. Also available are $300 and $500 tables for 4 to 8 people with champagne, drink tickets and red bulls. DJ Mario will be playing hits from the 1980s up to today before they show the live New York City ball drop on all 20 of their TV screens.

Green Pig Bistro offers $75 dinner menu which includes two appetizers, entrée, desert and either two glasses of either Malbec or Gruner Vetliner wine.

BaBa features NYE party packages in the swanky basement of Ambar. Their dinner party prices range from $55, $65 or $75 depending on table or bar seats and timing. Or you can choose to pay $20 cover at the door that includes passed canapés and a cash bar. The DJ starts after 9pm.

Barley Mac in Rosslyn has a $50 package starting at 9pm with bourbon and whiskey pours, passed hors d’oeuvres and a midnight champagne toast in the bar area only.

Ireland's Four Courts in Courthouse has no cover before 9pm, and $10 after that. Live music with Eddie Pasa. Free party favors and champagne toast.

Hurricane Fundraiser on Oct 8

This Sunday October 8 three Clarendon locations are contributing to hurricane disaster relief fundraisers. Lyon Hall, Citizen Burger and Whitlows will be donating money for every beer sold, with local brewery matching donations.

1-4pm Lyon Hall donates $1 per beer
3-7pm Citizen Burgers donates $1 per beer
6-9pm Whitlows donates .50 per beer

Summer Dress Party at Whitlows

Summer isn't over yet at Whitlows! The Clarendon late night staple is throwing a Summer Dress party on Saturday August 26. Starting at 4pm The Sports Junkies radio cast from 106.7 The Fan will host the party.
 The party continues at night as Advanced Party Solutions takes the inside stage at 10pm.

Party Like It's... at Whitlows

The most energetic cover band in the area Party Like It's... will play at Whitlow's on Friday, May 5. This is sure to a lively place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at with this amazingly talented band let by Cathy DiToro's vocals.

Since forming in 2013, Party Like It's has become the go-to band for Arlington and DC events, playing the NHL Winter Classic, Best of D.C. Voting Party and Celebration, game days at Fed Ex Field and Nats park, Big Night DC, and scores of festivals and concert series.

One of the best and most energetic local cover bands Party Like It's... is playing at Whitlows tonight, Saturday August 6. This seven member group plays fun covers of 80s, 90s and 2000s popular hits as well as a few original songs of there own. They go on stage around 10pm with a $5 cover.

The most energetic cover band in the area Party Like It's is having a release party for their first original song at Whitlows on Friday, May 6. Their new tune called Clockwork Lover is sure to fule an action packed night along with a photobooth, give aways, and new band t-shirts. Don't miss this amazing and talented band perform in Clarendon!

Whitlow's 20 Year Anniversary

Most arguably the best all around bar in Clarendon Whitlow's On Wilson is turning 20! On Friday March 4 they will have a beer release party from 7-9pm with Devils Backbone Brewery. Live music starts at 10pm with For The Win.

Then on Saturday March 5 Virginia Coalition (VACO) plays from 9 to 11pm with no cover charge and a DJ afterward. Virginia Coalition is a local band which played at Whitlow's weekly in the 1990s and 2000s. After touring nationally, VACO is returning to the familiar stage.

Arlington Shamrock Crawl

Clarendon is set to be a crazy green mess on Saturday March 21 with the annual Shamrock Crawl! Between 2-5:30pm and get ready to rave at some of Clarendon’s most popular bars including: Spider Kelly’s, Hunan One, Mister Days, American Tap Room, Mad Rose, Whitlow’s, Hard Times Cafe, SoBe, Iota, and the brand new Don Tito.
