Mad Rose deal from The Capitol Deal

So many deals in Clarendon lately, its hard to keep up. The latest is this one from The Capitol Deal for the new Mad Rose Tavern. You can either get $20 off dinner or $10 off lunch.

This deal comes at a great time for one of Clarendon's newest venues, as after a rough start they are having their official grand opening this Satruday.

Groupon for Pete's Apizza

Groupon is offering a deal for 50% food at Pete's Apizza today, good for either $5 for $10 of pizza or $10 for $20 off. Their 18" pies are large enough to last several leftover meals, and are good re-heated. That means the $10 for $20 coupon is the best deal since the 18" pizza is usually about a little over $20.

Restaurant 3 deal from Living Social today

The online coupon site Living Social, similar to Groupon, is offering a deal for Clarendon's Restaurant 3 today. For $20 you get a coupon for $40 worth of Restaurant 3 dining, drinks not included.

I think its worth it, as this sister restaurant to Whitlows can make a nice dining venue. Offer ends early tomorrow morning!

Deals For Deeds Launch Party Tuesday

Deals For Deeds is a group buying website with a twist of supporting community non-profits. The service gives a percent of every purchase to one of three local charities each month, including the Washington Animal Rescue League, Food & Friends, and Habitat for Humanity of DC.

A big part of Deals For Deeds is allowing community members to suggest their favorite non-profits and local businesses for them to feature, and they already have received a number of recommendations on their Facebook page.

They are having a site launch party at ACKC DC, 1529C 14th Street NW from 6 to 9pm Tuesday night. Its free, no RSVP necessary, meet local businesses, and get complimentary drinks/food!

So Whats the Deal DC

A former Clarendon resident just created an interesting site called Whats The Deal DC. The service is geared towards letting people take advantage of group discounts of local DC restaurants and venues, especially when you don't have a bunch of friends who want to join in on the activity.

Its a good concept: The site negotiates group discounts with local venues. Anyone can sign up for the discounted rate, and if they get a minimum number to participate everyone gets the special deal. If not you don't get charged.

Currently the deal is for a cheaper dinner at Leftbank. I'm following them on twitter and am looking forward to using the service!
