Shamrock Bar Crawl

Project DC Events is bringing back the Shamrock Crawl one week prior to St Patrick's Day. The Clarendon bar crawl takes place on Saturday March 10 from 1pm to 9pm, while the Dupont Circle, DC and Baltimore, MD Shamrock Crawls happen the following week on March 17.

Tickets are cheaper online and get higher closer to the event date, or $30 at the door. I snagged a $8 ticket the first day they went on sale online with promo code "SHAMROCK8". But you don't even need a ticket to participate, as a ticket buys you a green mug and access to a few drink specials. You don't need a ticket or wristband for access to any participating bars. Drink specials include:

$2 Beers
$3 Rail drinks
$4 Shamrock Shots
$5 Irish Car Bombs

Venues that you can party at while wearing green are Clarendon Grill, Whitlows, Bar Bao, Pamplona, Hunan One, Oz and Mister Days.  Whitlows will also have their rooftop open for festivities.

11th Street next to Clarendon Grill will be closed by the police as ACPD and ACFD will have free CPR workshops and a "buzzed" giant beer pong game to warn of affects of drunk driving.

Clarendon Halloween Crawl

The annual Halloween bar crawl returns the Saturday after the Tuesday holiday on November 4th in Clarendon. Use promo code LASTCALL until Tuesday night to save 20% off the tickets, now at $20 a person before the discount. Tickets get you a souvenir haunted mug, party favors, excusive drink and food specials, free pictures of the event and a raffle entry to win great prizes. Although you don't need a ticket to get entry to any of the participating bars, you need to be in some sort of costume to have fun and fit in with the expected large crowd. So far the bars celebrating are Clarendon Grill, Pamplona, Bar Bao, Mister Days, Whitlow’s, Hunan Number One and Oz.

All American Bar Crawl returns to Clarendon

The fifth annual All American Bar Crawl is returning to Clarendon on Saturday, July 1. Their sister party in Dupont Circle will continue a week later on July 8. Thousands of patriotic dressed and intoxicated party goers will bar-hop through some of the Arlington's most popular bars. Many different bars, DJs, all-day drink specials, and raffles are standard fare for these types of large scale bar crawls. Tickets are $20 online or $30 the day of the event. Long lines tend to form at the registration bars (Mister Days and Clarendon Grill), so either get in line early or work your way backwards (such as starting at Whitlows when its less crowded). Project DC Events offers promo codes almost daily up until the event so check their Twitter feed before purchasing.

Blarney Blowout Breakfast

Instead of a St. Patrick's Day bar crawl in Arlington, Project DC Events is throwing a Blarney Blowout breakfast bash on Saturday March 18 morning at multiple Arlington locations. Keep the fun going from the Friday night festivities with a little help of hair of the dog at this Irish breakfast at either A-Town, Pamplona, Clarendon Grill or Courthaus Social.

Tickets are $25 and are for one of the four venues only, so choose your adventure wisely. Tickets include an all you can eat breakfast from 8 to 11am, drink specials, DJs, raffles and outfit contests. Wearing as much green as possible is recommended.

The annual Clarendon Halloween Crawl is back this year on Saturday November 5th. Halloween falls on a Monday this year so make sure to hold on to your costume for this popular bar crawl on the weekend after. From 1 to 9pm, about nine or more local bars will participate with lots of costumed party goers, food and drink specials, and raffles.

Tickets are now $15 online or $30 at the door. You don't need a ticket to get into any of these Clarendon bars, but it is necessary for the drink specials poured into the refillable orange mugs. If you buy a ticket, register at either Mad Rose or Ballroom first. Bars that will host you are:

All American Bar Crawl

Thousands of patriotic party goers will descend on Arlington for the annual Project DC pre-July 4th bar crawl this Saturday, June 27. The All American Bar Crawl runs from 2-9pm on Saturday at almost all of the Clarendon venues. Tickets are $20 online or $30 at the door, which get you drink specials with your Freedom mug, wristband, raffle entry, and $2 Bronx Pizza slices (cheese only). You will look completely out of place if you aren't decked out in red, white and blue attire. There will sure to be lines at the registration tables at Clarendon Grill, Mad Rose and American Tap Room so give yourself plenty of time for the actual crawl at:

Rooftops at Don Tito and Whitlows are sure to be crowded, along with the outdoor patios at Mad Rose and Sobe. If you need to escape the crowds and don't want to wait in a long line, head to Iota for faster service. Iota's new outdoor back alley bar will be the hidden gem for this bar crawl.

Halloween in Clarendon - Nov 1 Bar Crawl

Halloween isn't over on Oct 31! Here in Clarendon the holiday must always span two weekends, so save your costumes for the 2nd annual Clarendon Halloween Crawl on Saturday, Nov 1. Organized by Project DC Events, last year's bar crawl was massive and super fun. Be prepared for hordes of costumed party goers between 2 and 9pm who are taking advantage of each participating venue's specials, raffles and costume contests.

Early bird tickets are $10 until this Tuesday Oct 7. Then prices rise to $15 and then to $20 at the door. That price gets you a plastic mug, access to cheaper beer with that mug, $2 Bronx pizz slices, and prize contest entries. Despite all the controversy surrounding Arlington bar crawls over the past year, I'm really looking forward to this one because the costumed crowd was so friendly at the last Halloween crawl.

Register at Mad Rose or Clarendon Ballroom to start the day drinking out and expect long lines at both venues. Then hop to any or all the other participating bars, including: Whitlow’s, Spider Kelly's, SoBe, Hunan Number One, Mister Days, Hard Times, IOTA, American Tap Room, and Bracket Room.

All American Bar Crawl June 28

Watch out Clarendon, there is yet another huge bar crawl coming to our neighborhood. Last year's turnout for the All American Bar Crawl was huge with thousands of party goers enjoying the hot weather in red, white and blue crazy attire.

On Saturday, June 28 Project DC has convinced over a dozen local bars will participate in the 2-9pm event with drink and food specials. Included in the $15 ticket ($20 day of) will be a mug, beads, raffle ticket, and $2 Bronx pizza slices (cheese only, with toppings are $3 or $4 per slice). The party starts with registration at either Clarendon Ballroom, Velocity 5 or Mad Rose. There will probably be huge lines like last year so come early.

With all the recent controversy surrounding bar crawls and the debauchery it can bring to the neighborhood, it will be interesting to see how this summer's giant party works out.

St. Patrick's Day fun continues with the annual Project DC Event's Clarendon bar crawl on Saturday, March 15. If your costume isn't completely trashed from the previous Halloween bar crawls, suit up for Project DC's bar crawl on Saturday November 2. The Clarendon Halloween Crawl goes from 2pm to 9pm Saturday with access to many local bars. Start the afternoon off with registration at Mad Rose and then continuing to Whitlow’s, Spider Kelly’s, SoBe, Hunan Number One, Wilson Tavern, and Mister Days. Tickets are $10 right now, but go up to $15 after Oct 17 and then $20 at the door. Project DC Events is celebrating their one year anniversary this Sunday, September 22 at Mad Rose Tavern in Clarendon. Their theme is a "free beer" party, with participants getting one free beer with this ticket and redeem it between 11am to 4pm. This Sunday September 8 Mad Rose is hosting the no cover Project DC Event Sunday Madness. Mad Rose boasts 25 TVs and two large project screens for watching the games, as well as giving away two tickets to the Redskins vs Eagles season opener Monday night.
